Founder's story
I started Heal because I kept seeing the same pattern: people who had been struggling for years, finally sitting down with a therapist, saying “I should have done this sooner.” The gap between noticing something is wrong and actually asking for help is enormous. Most of what fills that gap is fear. Fear of what it means, of being judged, of not being “bad enough.” I wanted to close that gap.
My practice draws on CBT, ACT, person-centred therapy, and psychodynamic frameworks. I use these as tools, not scripts. Every client is different, and every session starts from where that person actually is, not from a protocol. I have no associates or hand-offs. You work with me from the first conversation to the last.
The Walk & Talk sessions came from my own experience of what movement does to difficult conversations. Therapy works in the parks too. Sometimes the body needs to be part of the process, and Singapore's parks are extraordinary places to do that work.
The Clarity Check was built to answer one question: “Am I struggling enough to ask for help?” The answer, almost always, is yes. Clinical language makes that easier to hear and easier to act on.
Therapeutic approach
Nidhi draws on CBT, ACT, person-centred therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. The framework follows the person, not the other way around.
Warmth and rigour are not opposites. Nidhi holds both: a genuinely caring therapeutic relationship alongside the honest, sometimes challenging work that therapy requires. The goal is change, not comfort.
Every client works directly with Nidhi. There are no associates, no hand-offs, no intake coordinators between you and your therapist. That directness matters: you know who you're talking to, and they know you.
Nidhi works with clients from across Singapore's multicultural population, as well as international residents navigating expat life. She understands the specific pressures of high-performance environments, family expectations, and the experience of building a life in a city that isn't where you grew up.
Who Nidhi works with
Many clients come with a specific condition or crisis. Others arrive simply knowing something is off. Both are equally valid starting points.
Within this broad practice, Nidhi brings particular depth to women's mental health, working with adolescents and young people, and clients navigating South Asian and Southeast Asian cultural contexts — where family expectations, cultural identity, and the stigma around mental health often require a therapist who genuinely understands the landscape, not just the symptom.
Why founder-led counselling
At most private practices, you might begin with one therapist and end with another. At Heal, Nidhi is your counsellor throughout. She remembers what you said three months ago. She notices when something shifts. That continuity is the therapeutic relationship itself. It is a core mechanism of change in therapy.
It also means that if something is not working, there is no protocol to hide behind. You can say so, and it will be heard.

Areas of depth
Nidhi works with individuals, couples, and families across the full range of presenting issues. Within that broad practice, she brings specific depth in three areas.
Nidhi brings particular depth to the specific mental health landscape women navigate: the intersection of identity, relationships, family expectations, career, and self-worth. This includes maternal mental health, life transitions, and the often-invisible pressure of holding everything together.
Working with teenagers and young adults requires a different register — less clinical distance, more genuine curiosity, and an understanding of the specific pressures of growing up in Singapore's high-achieving environment. Nidhi has over a decade of experience working with this age group.
Having worked across India and Singapore, Nidhi understands the specific cultural pressures many South Asian and Southeast Asian clients carry: family expectations, face, the silence around mental health, and the complexity of navigating between cultures. This understanding is not theoretical. It is lived.
These are areas of particular depth — not boundaries. Nidhi works with clients from all backgrounds, genders, and age groups.
Walk & Talk therapy
Nidhi developed her Walk & Talk practice from a conviction that movement and outdoor environments unlock material that traditional settings sometimes can't. The rhythm of walking, the bilateral stimulation, the cortisol-reducing effect of green spaces: these are not incidental to the therapy. They are part of it.
Sessions run at Singapore's parks: MacRitchie Reservoir, the Botanic Gardens, East Coast Park, and others. They are suitable for most clients and most presenting issues. They are not an alternative to rigorous clinical work. They are rigorous clinical work, done outside.
